Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to protect our organization’s digital assets from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, analyzing threats, implementing security measures, and responding to incidents to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze security alerts and respond to cyber threats in real time.
• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans.
• Implement and maintain security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
• Investigate security incidents, document findings, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Stay updated with emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and security trends.
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training for employees to prevent phishing and social engineering attacks.
• Work with IT teams to secure cloud, network, and application environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or network security roles.
• Strong knowledge of security tools and technologies (SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, EDR).
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud security.
• Experience with penetration testing tools (Metasploit, Kali Linux, Burp Suite).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident response skills.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of forensic analysis and security event investigation.
• Ability to automate security tasks using scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
